The Quinta dos Mist\u00e9rios is a unique heritage tourism accommodation located on the island of S\u00e3o Jorge, in the Azores \u2013 Portugal. Nestled in the heart of the Atlantic, this 17th-century manor house offers an authentic local lodging experience, combining comfort, nature, heritage, and history all in one place.<\/p>\n

\u00a0A Manor House in Harmony with the Volcanic Landscape<\/strong><\/p>\n

The name \u201cMist\u00e9rios\u201d in the Azores refers to lava fields formed by volcanic eruptions that occurred after the islands were settled. One such phenomenon, the Queimada Volcano, erupted in 1580, shaping the landscape where the Quinta dos Mist\u00e9rios now stands. This geological legacy is an intrinsic part of the place\u2019s identity and sets our accommodation in S\u00e3o Jorge apart.<\/p>\n

The manor house, built in the 17th century and classified as a property of historical and architectural interest, has belonged to the same family for nearly 400 years. In 2023, it was carefully restored, respecting its original design, and transformed into a sustainable and cultural tourism project that celebrates the heritage of the Azores.<\/p>\n
