It was a small vessel that operated in coastal trade between the islands of the central group. Built in Santo Amaro on Pico Island, it was a wooden boat with humble features.

When it was built, it had weak engine power, which is why it sailed with an auxiliary sail. Passenger amenities were scarce — inside the deck there was only a table with two long benches.

The journeys were slow and rough, sometimes due to the sea, other times because of the constant vibration of the engine at work. Conta com um naufrágio no Porto das Velas.
