A Manor House in Harmony with the Volcanic Landscape
The name “Mistérios” in the Azores refers to lava fields formed by volcanic eruptions that occurred after the islands were settled. One such phenomenon, the Queimada Volcano, erupted in 1580, shaping the landscape where the Quinta dos Mistérios now stands. This geological legacy is an intrinsic part of the place’s identity and sets our accommodation in São Jorge apart.
